With just four games left, the top of the 2014 NFL Draft order is shaping up. we have some movement this week with the Giants and Bills falling out of the top ten (at least for now). Below are our 2014 NFL Draft power rankings for the top pick. Taken into consideration are current losses, recent performance, and upcoming schedule.
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The second week in a row on top. The Bucs have the Bills this week, but then host the Niners before going on the road to New Orleans and St. Louis. It’s not looking good down the stretch.
2. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings have a tough draw the rest of the way out. After pulling off a win against the Bears, they get possible playoff teams the rest of the schedule.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
Strange things are happening in Jacksonville. They have won three out of their last four. Of all the teams in our top ten, they face the weakest schedule the final four weeks.
4. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders travel to the Jets this week, then face the Chargers, Chiefs, and Broncos to finish out the season. That is a tough haul that can keep them with a top five pick.
5. Houston Texans
The current leader in losses can’t fall too far. What gets them this far is the chance that all of their games left are winnable, sans the Broncos.
6. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons wins this year have come against the Bills, Bucs, and Rams. There are a lot of what ifs in there, like the week one game against the Saints, but the truth is they are facing a four or five win season if they are lucky.
7. Cleveland Browns
Who would have thought that the Browns may be picking behind the Texans and Falcons in the 2014 NFL Draft? While there could be some Ws left on their schedule, there is nothing jumping out as to them being a sure thing.
8. St. Louis Rams (fr Washington)
The Redskins continue to give their gift to the Rams. They get the Chiefs this week and then a so-so schedule on the way out of the season.
9. St. Louis Rams
Welcome to a top ten spot of your own St. Louis! the game against the Cardinals this week will determine if the fast fall continues. Having the Saints and Seahawks on your schedule is not a bright light at the end of the tunnel.
10. San Diego Chargers
The Chargers have a playoff game of sorts when it comes to the top 10 here as they face the Giants, who sit just behind them on this list. The loser will likely be here next week. If they drop the game this week, games against the Broncos and Chiefs could seal the deal.
